Job Description
Under general supervision, determines, assess, and details the business functions and operating characteristics of the departments/divisions that utilize the medical center’s automated data facilities, databases and data network or that support and enhance health system practice, administrative and management needs and patient outcomes. Plan, develop and prepare detailed specifications of applications systems to meet the requirements, missions and goals of the medical center. Perform system implementation, testing, evaluation and follow-through. Determine, diagnose, isolate and resolve applications resource and utilization problems and errors; develop fault diagnosis, isolation and resolution techniques that ensure optimal performance is constantly maintained. Train technical, support and customer personnel in the use and development of applications programs; develop training programs and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, Nursing, Pharmacy, or an Allied Health field
- 2 years of experience in Information Technology (preferably supporting health system operations), a healthcare system role, or a combination of both; or direct experience with Epic Systems
- RHIA, RHIT, CCS, and/or COC certification credentials
- Epic Resolute Hospital Billing Charging or HIM Coding certification
- Two years of hospital clinical coding experience, including interpretation of medical records, hospital billing, and chargemaster data
- Strong understanding of systems implementation, including analysis, requirements definition, design, and deployment
- Demonstrated experience working directly with customers to gather, validate, and translate business requirements
- In-depth knowledge of hospital systems, workflows, and healthcare business practices
- Awareness of emerging healthcare technology trends and their application within clinical and revenue cycle environments
