Job Description
Scope of Position
The Device Clinic provides service for patients who have implanted cardiac devices or who require heart monitoring. The department supports all functions related to device monitoring including but not limited to: patient care, information management, equipment operation and maintenance. The Device clinic is staffed for operation Monday- Friday during regular business hours.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for providing patients with cardiac monitors and device equipment, performing ECGs, interpreting holter monitor scans, and notifying physicians of abnormal studies. The position is also responsible for the remote monitoring of patients with implantable cardiac devices. The technologist must also carry out all necessary technical/non-technical tasks associated with device and monitor testing and the operation and maintenance of equipment.
Minimum Education Required
2-Year College Degree
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree in biological sciences, healthcare, or related field of education and experience required.
