PrimaryResponsibilities
OperationsManagement:
- Overseedailytransportationand/ordistributionoperationsfortheassignedfacilityorsatellitelocation
- Superviserouteexecution,deliveryschedules,andworkflowefficiency
- Monitorproductivity,servicelevels,andoperationalaccuracytoensureKPIsareachieved
- Providehands-on operational supportasneeded,includingreceiving,storage,orderfulfillment,loading,anddelivery
- Provide route coverage/make deliveries to customers using commercial vehicles, which requires the ability to lift up to 75lb and the ability to handle up to 200 lbs. with the use of manual pallet jack
- Recruit,train,anddevelopahigh-performingteamofdriversandoperationscoworkers
- Conductperformancereviewsandprovideongoingcoachingandfeedback
- Managestaffinglevelsandallocateresourcesbasedonbusinessvolumeandoperationalneeds
- Communicateeffectivelywithteammembersandpromoteanopen,collaborativeworkenvironment
- Promoteastrongcultureofsafetyandensurecompliancewithcompanypoliciesandregulatoryrequirements
- Conductsafetyauditsandleadongoingsafetytraininginitiatives
- Monitordriverperformance,safetymetrics,andDOTcompliancestandards
- Buildandmaintainstrongrelationshipswithinternalteams,customers,andthird-partycarriers
- Addressserviceissuesandensureapositivecustomerexperience
- Identifypotentialbusinessopportunitiesandshareleadswiththesalesteamwhenappropriate
- Evaluateprocessesandidentifyopportunitiestoimproveservice,efficiency,andcostmanagementImplementoperationalimprovementstooptimizeworkflowsandlaborutilization
- Adjuststaffing,schedules,androutingbasedonchangingbusinessneeds
- 3 years of experiencein transportation, distribution, or operations leadership
- 2 year of commercial driving experience; package delivery preferred
- Experience managingdelivery drivers, fleet operations, or last-mile transportationpreferred.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop drivers through ride-alongs, safety coaching, and customer service training
- Experience usingKPIs, safety metrics, and operational datato drive performance improvements
- Previouscustomer service experience preferred
- Experience operatingpallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts preferred
- Experience withloading docks, desktop deliveries, and bulk deliveries preferred
- Ability and willingness tooperate a delivery vehicle or run a route when neededto support operations during peak periods or emergencies,
- Validdriver’slicensewithacleandrivingrecord(nomovingviolationswithinthepast36months)
- MustmeetDepartmentofTransportation(DOT)qualificationrequirements
- HighSchooldiploma, equivalent; Bachelorspreferred
- ExperienceusinghandheldPODdevicesortabletsfordeliverytrackingandconfirmation
- FamiliaritywithGPSroutingsystemsandscanningdevices
- BasicproficiencyinMicrosoftOffice(Excel,Word,Outlook
