Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule: The salary range for this role is $82,900/year to $137,650/year, however all state and local minimum wages will be complied with, resulting in a possible adjustment to the salary range displayed. They will work closely with senior management to ensure that the company’s messaging is consistent, effective, and aligned with its objectives.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Create and execute communications strategies that support ODP Business Solutions’ goals
- Drive the development and execution of effective PR strategies
- Creation of content, for instance, blog posts, website descriptions, newsletters, social media conferences/events, press releases, and featured industry articles, as well as key internal communications.
- Gather, analyze, and report marketing and communication campaigns data and use the insights to adjust our approaches as needed
- Handle press inquiries and requests for interviews
- Remote: While this position does not currently require relocation, candidates within a radius of our physical locations, including, but not be limited to Boca Raton, Itasca, and Austin, will be required to work in the office a minimum of two days per week.
- Responsible for the overall Public Relations strategy for ODP Business Solutions
- Develop & manage public relations strategy for the company, brand and verticals
- Build relationships with key publications and reporters to shape coverage; manage media outreach including creating media relationships
- Draft and edit press releases
- Maintain media lists, track media coverage, respond to reporter requests and focus on proactive media opportunities from firm events
- Serve as primary point of contact with media and reporters
- Work with the Marketing on strategic integrated marketing communications projects relating industry-focused campaigns
- Contribute to the content on the website, social channels and intranet
- Communications Strategy and Planning: Develops and delivers communications strategy to all internal stakeholders/strategy & execution externally. Works closely with the Sr. Director, Sales Operations, Sr. Director Sales Operations, Regional Vice Presidents, Corporate Vice Presidents and Senior Vice President of Contract Sales, in the development of BSD communications strategy across all stakeholders, and in providing input to senior management. Ensures that key messages are aligned with the overarching communications strategy.
- Lead and develop direct report
- Reporting and optimization of metrics / KPIs
- Bachelor’s degree in communications or Public Relations or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in B2B category management and growth, Public Relations or Communications
- Basic computer skills and the ability to use computers and technology for information, and to access information necessary to complete the job
- Leadership, comfortable with matrix environment, financial management and reporting
- Sound strategic planning skills and a strong strategic thinker able to connect the business agenda with broader contextual issues
- Ability to relate communications strategy and supporting campaigns to the drivers of the business
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communications skills
- Strong writing skills and creative flair
- Good personal credibility is required
- Strong organizational, management and technical skills; ability to multi-task; detail and deadline oriented; ability to handle stressful situations with poise
- Performance driven and focused with solid change management communications skills.
