Salary Range: $80,200
THE ROLE
Own the design, governance, and oversight of the Company’s compensation and benefits programs. Ensure programs are competitive, compliant, and financially sustainable. Establish clear frameworks for compensation decisions and benefit plan structure. Partner with HR Operations, Finance, and business leadership to ensure consistent execution.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Compensation
- Design and maintain salary structures, pay ranges, and job architecture
- Lead annual compensation processes (merit, cost-of-living, and incentive programs)
- Approve compensation decisions to ensure:
- Market alignment
- Budget discipline
- Internal consistency
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pay laws, including pay equity
- Monitor compensation trends, spend, and exception activity
Market & Job Architecture
- Lead market benchmarking and maintain competitive positioning
- Define and maintain job classifications consistent with FLSA and applicable state laws
- Partner with HR and business leaders on job design and leveling
- Provide compensation guidance for hiring, promotions, and workforce planning
Benefits
- Oversee design and administration of employee benefit programs, including:
- Medical, dental, and vision
- Retirement (401(k))
- Leave and paid time off programs
- Evaluate program performance, utilization, and cost effectiveness
- Recommend plan design changes aligned with business and talent objectives
- Ensure compliance with plan documents and regulatory requirements
Vendor & Program Oversight
- Manage relationships with brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators
- Lead vendor selection and periodic rebidding processes
- Monitor vendor performance against service, cost, and compliance expectations
Operations Partnership
- Oversee benefits and leave administration for consistency and compliance
- Partner with HR Operations to ensure accurate and efficient execution
Employee Experience
- Lead annual open enrollment planning and execution
- Ensure clear communication of compensation and benefits programs
- Monitor employee feedback and drive program improvements
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: SVP, General Counsel & Head of HR
Direct reports: Benefits Administration support roles
Key partners: HR Operations, Finance, Operations Leadership
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or related field
- 5 years of compensation and benefits experience
- Multi-state experience required; self-funded plan experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of compensation structures, benchmarking, and benefits regulations
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (UKG preferred)
