Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Chef and Barista to oversee the daily operations of our café. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee and food along with strong leadership skills to manage staff and ensure a high-quality experience for our patrons. The Café Chef will play a crucial role in assisting with the opening of the new cafe will have knowledge in curating the menu.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a café or food service environment is required; barista experience is required.
- Proficiency in using POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Knowledge of food safety practices and food preparation techniques
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership capabilities
- Experience in sales within the food industry is an advantage
