Quality Hospitality is offering a rare and exciting opportunity to join the opening team of a new luxury boutique hotel, The Oberlin, opening in Raleigh, NC this fall as a new Hilton Curio property. We’re seeking proactive, relationship-driven hospitality professionals dedicated to providing excellent service in an upscale environment.
An Executive Housekeeper is responsible for leading a team to achieve exceptional cleanliness throughout the hotel. The Executive Housekeeper will manage the housekeeping department and ensure all rooms, hallways, and lobbies are clean, as well as ensure that all rooms are stocked, cleaned, and ready for guests on a daily basis.
- Purchasing, monitoring, and controlling inventory for housekeeping department within budget guidelines
- Completing work schedules for housekeeping department staff in a timely and effective manner
- Enforcing and coordinating all training efforts and counseling throughout the housekeeping department
- Knowledge of and ability to perform opening/closing procedures for the housekeeping department
- Inspecting rooms and public spaces daily to ensure brand standards, safety, and total cleanliness
- Ensuring that all maintenance issues are reported immediately
- Promoting, participating, and is knowledgeable of all brand programs and standards
- Conducting regular staff meeting and completing all paperwork in a timely manner
- Ensuring the follow-through of our Observe & React program
- Assisting with all training efforts throughout the housekeeping department; enforcing and promoting Quality Hospitality culture throughout the housekeeping department.
- Embracing and demonstrating the core ideology daily
- Operating under budgetary guidelines
- Operating with a guest satisfaction urgency and striving for 100 percent guest satisfaction at all times
- Promoting and encouraging team work at all times
- Monitoring and logging key control
- Communicating and is knowledgeable of SALT scores
- Providing information to guests about hotel services, facilities, and other amenities
Requirements
- Prior supervisory experience is required, preferably in a hospitality setting
- Prior housekeeping experience is required
- Strong initiative and work ethic
- Punctual, reliable, and regular attendance
- Strong attention to detail
- Customer-service oriented
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25lbs. Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, bend, twist, and reach frequently.
