Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance/Landscaper to join our team. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces through a variety of landscaping, gardening, and maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical knowledge, and experience with landscape and groundskeeping activities. Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, and pruning trees and shrubs
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as excavators for construction or landscaping projects
- Maintain lawns through mowing, edging, aeration, and fertilization
- Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscaped areas
- Conduct snow plowing and removal during winter months to ensure safety and accessibility
- Execute hardscape projects such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures
- Perform general maintenance tasks including equipment repair and preventative care
- Assist with tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and removal using appropriate tools and techniques
- Support gardening activities including planting, fertilizing, mulching, and pest control
- Ensure all work sites are safe, clean, and organized following safety protocols
Qualifications
- Proven experience in landscaping, lawn care, or grounds maintenance preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and power tools
- Familiarity with horticulture principles and plant care techniques
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators is a plus
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and repair
- Experience with snow plowing and winter maintenance is desirable
- Strong understanding of landscape construction and hardscape installation
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for manual labor
- Valid
license or relevant certifications preferred but not required - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
