Duties
- Supervise all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, customer service, and staff management
- Lead staff training and development to ensure high standards of food handling, safety, and hospitality management
- Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing food production to minimize waste and maximize efficiency
- Coordinate shift management to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours
- Enforce food safety regulations and maintain compliance with health department standards
- Conduct interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of team members to build a skilled and motivated workforce
- Monitor budget adherence, control costs, and implement strategies to improve overall restaurant profitability
- Supervise kitchen management activities including food preparation, cooking standards, and kitchen cleanliness
- Foster a positive team environment through effective leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management with strong supervisory skills in quick service & fast food or casual dining environments
- Extensive knowledge of food industry practices including food handling, food safety protocols, and culinary techniques
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales transactions and reporting
- Demonstrated ability in inventory control, budgeting, and cost management within a hospitality setting
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences
- Prior experience in managing staff training & development programs; ability to interview and select top talent
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster collaboration in a fast-paced environment
- Kitchen experience including food production, cooking techniques, and kitchen management preferred
- Hospitality management background with experience in supervising shifts at casual dining or fine dining establishments
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and certifications required by local health authorities
