BARBER OR HAIRCUTTING APPRENTICE WANTED ✂
The Oak Ave Barber in Oak Park is looking for a motivated and dependable Barber Apprentice to join our team.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills, gain real-world experience, and learn the day-to-day operations of a busy neighborhood barbershop.
As an apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced barbers and stylists while learning and assisting with:
- Barbering and haircutting techniques and client services
- Consultations and customer experience
- Shop flow and daily operations
- Preparing and maintaining stations
- Laundry, sanitation, sweeping and general shop upkeep
- Keeping the shop clean, organized and welcoming
- Supporting the team throughout the day
We’re looking for someone who is professional, reliable, proactive and eager to learn. Taking pride in the shop and helping maintain the space is an important part of the apprenticeship.
In return, you’ll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, strengthen your technical skills, learn how a successful shop operates, and work toward building your own clientele and career behind the chair.
No existing clientele necessary.
