The Nutrition Group’s family of support services includes K-12 Meal Services, Commissary, Custodial and Maintenance Management, Business and Industry, and Consulting. Currently, we operate in Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, South Carolina and Virginia.
About the Job:
This position will be working in a local production/commercial kitchen.
Duties may include:
- Cooking and food preparation
- Portioning and packaging meals
- Sanitation in conjunction with USDA and state guidelines.
- HAACP and health department regulation compliance
- Assisting to monitor costs and inventory controls.
Qualifications:
- A positive and consistent work ethic
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- A willingness to learn and grow within your position
- Food service experience preferred
- Ability to do basic math and read recipes
- Computer literacy preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Background check required
Physical Requirements May Include:
- Standing for long periods of time
- Sitting, pushing, pulling
- Lifting up to and in excess of 40lbs
- Walking
