About the Job
This position works in a local school kitchen/cafeteria.
Duties may include:
- Cooking and food preparation
- Portioning and serving meals
- Maintaining sanitation in accordance with USDA and state guidelines
- Ensuring compliance with HACCP and health department regulations
- Assisting with cost control and inventory management
- Ability to pass a criminal background check prior to employment
- Positive attitude and consistent work ethic
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Willingness to learn and grow within the position
- Previous food service experience preferred
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Standing for extended periods of time
- Sitting, pushing, and pulling as needed
- Lifting up to and occasionally exceeding 40 lbs
- Walking throughout the shift
