Position Overview
The Nutrition Group is seeking a Director of Food and Nutrition to oversee daily cafeteria operations within a K-12 school district. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in food service management, compliance, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage school menus in compliance with USDA and state guidelines
- Oversee food cost control, budgeting, and inventory management
- Lead and supervise cafeteria staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Ensure accuracy in accounting and reporting processes
- Maintain strong communication with school district administrators and officials
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
- 1–2 years of proven staff management experience
- Food service industry experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to obtain necessary clearances and pass background checks
