Senior Wholesale Commercial Manager
Location: Los Angeles, CA
The Nue Co. is seeking a Senior Commercial Wholesale Manager to lead the performance and growth of our wholesale business, with primary responsibility for Ulta in North America and oversight of key retail partners globally (Erewhon, Space NK, Cult Beauty & Mecca & Indies).
This is a highly cross-functional commercial role responsible for HQ buyer relationships, Joint Business Planning, trade marketing, retail events, field management & execution ensuring wholesale operates as a high-performing growth channel.
Key Role Responsibilities:
Ulta Account Leadership (Primary Focus)
- Lead day-to-day relationship with Ulta buying, merchandising, and planning teams
- Own performance across doors: trading, productivity, assortment and stock management
- Drive growth strategies and execution in partnership with the retailer
- Manage field agency and own freelancer support in major regions with a focus on best in class merchandising, always on event strategy & sell out productivity
- Define coverage, store priorities and performance expectations
Wholesale Account Management
- Support and manage key partners across the US, UK and Australia
- Maintain strong planning cadence and retailer relationships
- Ensure consistent execution across markets
Joint Business Planning
- Develop and manage JBPs with priority accounts
- Align on launches, promotions, revenue targets and retail priorities
- Ensure seamless go-to-market executed for NPD launches
- Determine and negotiate best ROI trade investments
- Translate brand campaigns into retail initiatives
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner closely with marketing, operations, finance and leadership
- Act as the internal voice of retail and wholesale priorities
- Hold internal stakeholders accountable in ensuring we deliver successful 360 execution with intention
- Ensure clear and frequent communication to empower and motivate internal stakeholders
Reporting & Analytics
- Be obsessed with sell out and in-store productivity
- Monitor sell-through and performance, identifying risks and opportunities
- Support demand planning by providing commercial insight
- Present to the business weekly sell out data, key trends & always use a data driven approach
Experience and Profile:
- Health and Beauty or Wellness experience essential, ideally with a premium luxury brand
- Experience managing national retail accounts (Ulta experience highly preferred)
- Strong background in wholesale, trade marketing or retail account management
- Experience with JBPs, launches and retail execution
- Comfortable managing agencies/field teams with the ambition to develop this function
- Commercially driven, highly organized, and execution-focused
