Your Role as a Consultant Dietitian

As a vital part of our team, you’ll focus on clinical expertise and relationship-building to elevate resident care and food and dining services. Your responsibilities include:

• Performing comprehensive nutrition assessments, monitoring weights, and overseeing nutrition-related care.
• Documenting nutritional needs, interventions, and outcomes with precision.
• Collaborating on care plans and participating in weekly QAPI meetings to drive quality improvements.
• Supporting the Food and Nutrition Services Department through audits to ensure safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
• Conducting monthly meal rounds and QA to ensure diets meet clinical, palatability, and presentation standards.
• Providing engaging in-service education to empower facility staff.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from an accredited institution.
• Alabama licensure (provisional licensure welcome-perfect for early-career professionals!).
• Availability during regular business hours (no evenings or weekends, ensuring work-life balance).
• Exceptional communication skills to build strong relationships with clients and residents.
• Strong clinical expertise, food safety knowledge, and familiarity with commercial kitchen operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel to streamline documentation.
• A proactive, independent mindset with a passion for making a difference.
