Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Supervisor to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with construction management software. This role involves managing teams, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining project schedules and budgets to deliver high-quality results efficiently. The Construction Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring that all projects adhere to specifications, safety standards, and client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project plans and specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources.
- Monitor progress against project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 and construction management software.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to guide onsite work.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and enforce safety protocols across the construction site.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and assist with construction estimating to stay within financial parameters.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets industry standards and client requirements.
- Oversee subcontractor performance, supervise team members, and provide guidance on technical tasks including blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.
- Maintain accurate documentation of project progress, change orders, contracts, and other relevant records.
- Utilize tools such as Ohmmeter for electrical troubleshooting when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in supervising teams on large-scale projects.
- Proficiency with construction management software including ProCore, and other relevant tools.
- Extensive knowledge of construction site safety regulations (OSHA) and quality control procedures.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively.
- Strong project scheduling skills with experience using Microsoft Project or similar software.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, construction estimating, and contract management.
- Excellent management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining a focus on safety and quality standards.
- Familiarity with construction site equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical work is a plus.
