The Floater Teacher/Food Services Coordinator is a dynamic, dual-role position responsible for supporting both the educational and nutritional components of our early childhood program. This individual will split time between the classroom and administrative responsibilities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality curriculum and compliance with food program standards. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, experienced in curriculum development, and familiar with CACFP and Keystone STARS guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma CDA - or - Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (required)
- Minimally 2 years experience in a child care setting
- Experience developing curriculum and lesson plans (preferred)
- Knowledge of Keystone STARS standards and CACFP guidelines
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- ServSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and remain calm under pressure
- Commitment to providing high-quality care and education to children
Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation, serving, and clean-up of meals and snacks according to CACFP guidelines
- Maintain accurate records for food service and CACFP compliance
- Support classroom instruction
- Monitor classroom environments
- Lead by example in fostering a positive, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere for children, staff, and families
- Uphold licensing, health, and safety standards at all times
Work Environment:
This position requires flexibility, leadership, and a strong understanding of both educational and food service operations. The coordinator must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, balancing classroom engagement with back-end responsibilities, and supporting overall center success.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
