Skills Required:
1. Ability to Manage Intune and Endpoint Environments o Competent in assessing and documenting existing procedures. o Adept at strategizing modernization of tools and workflows. o Skilled in conducting training for IT staff and end-users. o Proficient in configuring, deploying, and managing Intune policies and enrolled devices. o Knowledgeable in maintaining compliance policies, security baselines, and Conditional Access. o Capable of supporting Intune-related issues and managing application deployments. 2. Competency in Mobile Applications Integration o Ability to oversee deployment of Intune-managed mobile devices for key applications (e.g., Cityworks AMS). o Effective collaboration with stakeholders to optimize mobile performance. o Experience integrating Intune with GIS applications or Cityworks AMS. 3. Understanding of Device Enrollment & Lifecycle Management o Proficient in managing Apple Business Manager (ABM) and Windows Autopilot (or similar platforms widely adopted by public and private agencies). o Skilled in automating enrollment workflows and device provisioning. o Awareness of business continuity and disaster recovery planning for mobile environments. o Skilled in refining lifecycle strategies across iOS, Windows, and Mac platforms. 4. Ability to Collaborate on Mobile Billing & Fiscal Processes o Knowledgeable in uploading and reconciling mobile service bills. o Competent in investigating and resolving billing discrepancies. o Collaborative in managing service requests and account adjustments across divisions. 5. Proficiency in Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance o Skilled in generating reports on compliance, usage, and device health. o Capable of tracking inventory, licenses, renewals, and provisioning data. o Adept at auditing for policy compliance and enforcing security standards. 6. Strong User Support & Collaboration Skills o Ability to serve as the primary point of contact for mobile-related support. o Competent in managing appointments and service delivery. o Skilled in providing hands-on user support and training for mobile devices and apps. o Experience developing user documentation and instructional materials. 7. Knowledge of Procurement & Inventory Management o Proficient in creating and tracking equipment purchase orders. o Ability to coordinate with vendors for timely processing and delivery. o Competent in managing and maintaining accurate asset inventory records. 8. Expertise in Mobile and Endpoint Security o Deep understanding of mobile device security, endpoint protection strategies, and secure configuration. o Advanced knowledge of compliance policies and Conditional Access configurations. 9. Technical Proficiency in Automation and Scripting o Skilled in PowerShell scripting to automate administrative tasks and streamline management workflows. 10. Familiarity with IT Infrastructure and Systems o Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., IP addressing, VPNs, firewalls). o Working knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) tools for incident and asset tracking.
Experience Required:
• 5 years of experience administering Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager, including implementation of compliance policies, security baselines, and Conditional Access. • 3 years of experience managing Apple Business Manager and Windows Autopilot for automated device enrollment. • 3 years of experience managing full mobile device lifecycle and providing end-user support across iOS, Windows, and macOS. • 3 years of experience scripting with PowerShell (or similar tools) to automate endpoint management tasks.
Education Required:
This classification requires the possession of a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or Engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Microsoft Certifications (MD-102, SC-900).
Additional Information:
California Resident Candidates Only. Work is expected to be done initially onsite. Possibility for remote work part time. Interviews in person; may consider virtual, depending on candidate location. Work schedule is M-Thurs 7:15am-6pm (10 hours) at Public Works HQ in Alhambra, CA 91803.
