Hair Stylist/Barber

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and talented Hair Stylist/Barber to join our vibrant salon team! Duties

• Perform a variety of hair services including cuts, styling, and treatments using advanced techniques .
• Provide expert grooming services for men and an at times women, including straight razor shaves and beard maintenance.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all workstations and tools according to health regulations.
• Utilize Vagaro salon software to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
• Offer personalized consultations to understand client needs and recommend suitable styles or products.
• Upsell retail products such as hair care items and beard maintenance products.
• Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing bookings, and ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair styling, and customer service excellence.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or Barber with a strong portfolio demonstrating diverse skills in haircutting, and styling. An existing clientele is preferred.
• Knowledge of Vagaro salon management software or similar platforms is highly preferred.
• Certification in Cosmetology or Barbering from an accredited institution is required; additional training and experience are a plus.
• Familiarity with sanitation standards and best practices for maintaining a clean working environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients and team members while providing outstanding customer service.
• Experience in retail sales and upselling techniques to promote products like hair care lines.
• Ability to mentor others in advanced techniques such as straight razor shaves or new hair techniques while fostering a positive team environment. Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
