Personal Injury Case Manager
Expanding plaintiffs personal injury firm looking to fill a Case Manager position. Our practice includes work in the areas of general personal injury, auto accidents and litigation.
We are currently seeking an experienced personal injury case manager. The right candidate will be self motivated, very organized, detail oriented, possess exceptional writing and communication skills and most importantly, be a team player. The role typically uses proprietary legal and electronic discovery software as part of the job. The ideal candidate must be able to calculate damages, including medical expenses & lost wages. Due to the nature of the company, the candidate should be detail orientated and have the ability to work well with others on a team of attorneys, paralegals, and case file managers.
The case manager role will be comprised of administrative support for lawyers handling personal injury cases. Your responsibilities include clerical tasks such as client communication, scheduling, and billing. Other duties involve performing research for case briefs, preparing documentation to be sent to 3rd parties on cases, and assisting in preliminary investigations by collecting evidence.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their case
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files
- Assist clients in completing necessary paperwork and forms
- Monitor client progress and provide ongoing support and guidance
- Prepare legal documents and drafts for review by attorneys
- Perform data entry and clerical tasks to ensure accurate record keeping
- Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
Skills:
- Strong interviewing skills to gather relevant information from clients
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Proficient in writing, including legal drafting and document preparation
- Accurate and efficient data entry abilities
- Strong clerical skills, including organizing files and maintaining records
- Ability to manage projects and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with MyCase or other legal research tools for document review
This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in case management or a related field, with a strong understanding of legal processes. A degree in a relevant field is preferred but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
