Job Description: The Coordinator of Community Outreach is an external and community-focused role responsible for identifying, cultivating, and strengthening partnerships to increase program enrollment, enhance community engagement, and support fundraising efforts. This role is pivotal in expanding The Nicholas Center’s reach and impact within the community.
Schedule/Timing: Part-time, up to 25 hours per week
Job Responsibilities:
Partnership Development & Outreach:
- Identify & cultivate strategic partnerships through proactive networking and direct outreach.
- Represent the organization at community and industry events, transition fairs, and disability-focused functions to expand awareness of services.
- Conduct targeted outreach to key external stakeholders, including school districts, public officials, and relevant community organizations.
- Support open houses and tours to prospective families and partners.
- Attend local events, Chamber of Commerce meetings, Town Hall meetings, networking events, etc. as a representative of TNC. Share the TNC story, seek opportunities to partner with local organizations, non-profits, businesses, etc.
- Assist in coordinating outreach efforts to raise awareness about the organization’s mission and impact.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to attend events outside of standard business hours as required.
Enrollment & Engagement Goals:
- Actively work to increase enrollment through partnership development & community engagement initiatives.
- Foster strong relationships with existing families and partners to strengthen relationships and ensure sustained involvement.
- Collaborate with program staff to achieve established enrollment, partnership, and fundraising targets.
Fundraising & Donor Relations:
- Assist with the organization and execution of special fundraising events, including helping to organize new events and increasing family involvement.
- Support existing donor and community relationships to ensure they remain active and continue to grow.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Level of Education - Undergraduate degree, English or Marketing.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a focus on achieving enrollment, partnership, and fundraising goals.
- Proven experience in networking, sales/fundraising, or marketing.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse community stakeholders. Strong writing skills.
- Fluency and proficiency in using social media for professional outreach and engagement.
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate community and industry events.
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 per week
