Location: Doylestown, PA
Schedule: Part-time or full time hours available
Salary: $19.00 -22.00 / hour
Job Summary:
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are responsible for providing direct care and support to young adults with intellectual disabilities participating in the Explore Community Participation Support Program. DSPs facilitate community-based activities that promote social engagement, independence, and overall well-being of the participants.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and support to program participants during community-based activities.
Assist participants in developing and maintaining social skills, independence, and community integration.
Implement individualized plans and activities as outlined by the Program Specialist.
Monitor and document participant progress, behaviors, and achievements.
Ensure the safety and well-being of participants during community based activities and volunteer experiences.
Assist participants with daily living activities, as needed.
Communicate regularly with Program Specialists and Program Managers regarding participant progress and any concerns.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to participant activities and progress.
Foster a supportive and positive environment for participants.
Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred).
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Working Conditions:
Full-time or part-time position with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Community-based work environment with frequent local travel within Bucks County.
