Laundry Attendant

As a Laundromat Attendant / Wash-Dry-Fold Processor, you’ll be the face of our store. Your first responsibility is customer service — greeting every customer warmly as they walk through the door, helping them find machines, answering questions about payment options, assisting with card system issues, and offering carts and proactive help, especially to customers carrying heavy loads. When issues come up, you’ll handle complaints calmly and professionally using our established scripts and refund policies.

You’ll also play a key role in our growing wash-dry-fold (WDF) service. This means receiving, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and packaging customer laundry orders with care and consistency. You’ll accurately ticket each order, note customer preferences like detergent type or special handling instructions, and make sure every finished order looks like it came off a store shelf. You’ll track and manage WDF orders using our intake and shelving system, and stagger loads throughout the day to keep things running efficiently.

Keeping the store clean is a big part of this job. You’ll wipe down machines and folding tables every hour, sweep and spot-mop to maintain clean, dry, slip-free floors, clean restrooms on a regular schedule, empty trash, restock supplies, and clean lint screens after every dryer cycle. We have opening, hourly, and closing checklists that keep everything organized so nothing gets missed.
On the operations side, you’ll operate the point-of-sale system, assist customers with Laundroworks card transactions, process refunds when needed, handle cash accurately, and follow our daily reconciliation procedures. If a machine has a problem, you’ll report it so we can get it fixed quickly.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, punctual, and honest — the kind of person who shows up on time, every time, and takes ownership of their shift. You should be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision, since you’ll often be the only team member in the store. A friendly, approachable personality is essential because our customers count on you to make their experience a good one. You should take genuine pride in keeping a space clean and well-maintained, and be comfortable handling cash and working in a security-camera-monitored environment. The role is physical — you’ll need to stand for full shifts and lift up to 50 pounds, including bags of laundry and supply containers. Previous experience in retail, food service, cleaning, or laundry is a plus, but it’s not required. We provide paid training and will teach you everything you need to know.
