About The New Work Project:

The New Work Project (www.thenewworkproject.com) is a distinctive workspace and meeting hub, housed in a beautifully transformed former foundry in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Spanning over 10,000 square feet, our space offers a premium alternative to mainstream options, featuring exceptional design, an intimate boutique atmosphere, a vibrant community, and a dedicated hospitality team.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a full-time, in-person Community Manager to join a two-person, non-hierarchical Community Management team responsible for the day-to-day running of both The New Work Project workspace and The Annex (our on-site meetings and events venue).

This team will share responsibility for the overall operation, member experience, and commercial performance of both spaces, reporting directly to the Founder.

Responsibilities:

You will share responsibility for the day-to-day operation of both spaces, including:

  • Preparing the spaces each day and maintaining their cleanliness, presentation, and overall atmosphere in line with brand standards
  • Delivering a premium member experience by responding to member needs, enforcing house guidelines, and fostering an engaged, collaborative community
  • Managing inquiries, tours, onboarding, billing, and reporting across memberships, day passes, meeting rooms, and venue hire
  • Supporting and maintaining operational systems and infrastructure, including Nexudus, Stripe integrations, printing systems, and general IT operations
  • Driving awareness, engagement, and revenue through e-marketing, social media, direct outreach, and partnerships
  • Supporting the marketing, sales, and delivery of private events at The Annex
  • Collaborating with partners to curate cultural programming and community events

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Passion for hospitality, design, and the creative industries
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Professional, enthusiastic, and personable demeanor
  • Experience or interest in marketing and social media
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities with a strong sense of initiative

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $50,000 salary, plus benefits, with total compensation of up to $60,000
  • 15 days paid time off per year
  • Summer Fridays (every other Friday off between Memorial Day and Labor Day, subject to workload and team availability)
