About The New Work Project:
The New Work Project (www.thenewworkproject.com) is a distinctive workspace and meeting hub, housed in a beautifully transformed former foundry in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Spanning over 10,000 square feet, our space offers a premium alternative to mainstream options, featuring exceptional design, an intimate boutique atmosphere, a vibrant community, and a dedicated hospitality team.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a full-time, in-person Community Manager to join a two-person, non-hierarchical Community Management team responsible for the day-to-day running of both The New Work Project workspace and The Annex (our on-site meetings and events venue).
This team will share responsibility for the overall operation, member experience, and commercial performance of both spaces, reporting directly to the Founder.
Responsibilities:
You will share responsibility for the day-to-day operation of both spaces, including:
- Preparing the spaces each day and maintaining their cleanliness, presentation, and overall atmosphere in line with brand standards
- Delivering a premium member experience by responding to member needs, enforcing house guidelines, and fostering an engaged, collaborative community
- Managing inquiries, tours, onboarding, billing, and reporting across memberships, day passes, meeting rooms, and venue hire
- Supporting and maintaining operational systems and infrastructure, including Nexudus, Stripe integrations, printing systems, and general IT operations
- Driving awareness, engagement, and revenue through e-marketing, social media, direct outreach, and partnerships
- Supporting the marketing, sales, and delivery of private events at The Annex
- Collaborating with partners to curate cultural programming and community events
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Passion for hospitality, design, and the creative industries
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Professional, enthusiastic, and personable demeanor
- Experience or interest in marketing and social media
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proactive problem-solving abilities with a strong sense of initiative
Compensation & Benefits:
- $50,000 salary, plus benefits, with total compensation of up to $60,000
- 15 days paid time off per year
- Summer Fridays (every other Friday off between Memorial Day and Labor Day, subject to workload and team availability)
