Montessori Pre-Elementary Classroom Floater
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Montessori Pre-Elementary Classroom Floater to join our school community. The ideal candidate will have Montessori training or experience, but exceptional candidates without specific Montessori background may be considered for training.
Responsibilities:
- Implement Montessori curriculum and philosophy for multiple ages
- Create and maintain a stimulating, safe, and nurturing classroom environment
- Provide support across multiple pre-elementary classrooms as needed throughout the day
- Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, lunch, rest time, and transitions
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the learning experience
- Ensure classroom materials and equipment are well-maintained and available
- Reliably work between the hours of 8:30am-5:00/5:30pm
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is preferred: ideally in Education or Early Childhood Education—related fields may be considered
- Montessori training or certification preferred
- Experience teaching in a Montessori environment is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of child development and Montessori philosophy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children
