The Food and Nutrition Department on our Manhattan campus is seeking a Full-Time and Part time Registered Dietitian to join our interdisciplinary healthcare team. Full time is 5 days a week and part time is 3-4 days a week. Both positions have occasional weekend.
Position Summary
The Registered Dietitian provides comprehensive nutrition assessment and clinical nutrition services to residents in both long-term care and sub-acute care units. This role is essential in supporting resident health outcomes through individualized care planning, regulatory documentation, and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct nutrition assessments and provide clinical nutrition services for long-term and sub-acute care residents
- Complete accurate and timely medical record documentation, including MDS 3.0
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans
- Provide nutrition education to residents, patients, and family members as needed
- Participate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings
- Conduct meal rounds to ensure quality, safety, and resident satisfaction
- Collaborate with nursing, medical, and rehabilitation staff to support resident care goals
