PURPOSE OF POSITION:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the validation of designs and the fabrication of functional prototypes using advanced manufacturing protocols and tools. This role is crucial to ensuring our products meet quality and performance standards before mass production.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Design Support and Validation:
- Collaborate with the design team to review and validate product designs, ensuring feasibility and compliance with technical requirements.
- Support the development and updating designs to ensure consistent fabrication practices.
- Suggest and validate sub-assemblies.

Product Validation First-of-Kind Builds
- Develop the protocol of fabrication for prototypes, these documents will describe details about the fabrication processes, assembly and validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve the fabrication of First-of-Kind, work closely with design, production, quality, and process engineers to ensure integration and alignment to meet timelines.

Documentation and Quality Assurance:
- Help maintain updated documentation of manufacturing processes, including work instructions and process flow diagrams of the projects assigned.
- Ensure that First-of-Kind covers all quality requirements by maintaining detailed documentation of validation and fabrication processes, including test reports and analysis of results.
- Transfer all the information into a protocol to the process engineering group that helps this team to set up a production line.

Continuous Improvement Participation:
- Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and other improvement methodologies.
COMPETENCIES:
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 standards and safety protocols.
- Willingness to learn and apply new skills in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately.
- Experience with metal fabrication and assembly.
- Experience with switchgear design and/or manufacturing would be beneficial.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
