PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Manager of Product Management is responsible for building, developing, and managing a team of Product Managers, guiding the development of products from ideation to obsolescence. This role will ensure product strategy alignment with company strategy and market needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Manager of Product Management position will provide direction and leadership for a team focused on the following key activities:
- Build a department that will drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, beginning with aligning product requirements and product roadmap with the company strategy.
- Coordinate with the Strategy and Sales teams to validate the product marketing and competitive analysis for each product line.
- Develop business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue forecast, development costing, and ROI
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Sales teams throughout the development and release of products to ensure success for the entire organization.
- Sponsor product development through Steering Committee reviews, R&D processes, and New Product Introduction deliverables.
- Lead product launch objectives in coordination with Sales and Marketing teams.
- Be the Product Ambassador for the expanding low voltage and medium voltage product portfolios. Provide routine roadmap and product performance updates to key stakeholders.
- Track, analyze, and report data & statistics regarding the efficacy of staff skills and department systems to drive continuous improvement.
COMPETENCIES:
- Competency with low voltage and medium voltage switchgear products.
- Knowledge of industry standards like UL1670, UL891, UL1558, UL1008, ANSI C37.20 and NEC/CEC.
- Ability to collaborate and work through ambiguity

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 4-year degree in engineering, business, or related science field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the power distribution equipment or close-related industry, preferably directly with switchgear.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership or supervisor role directly managing staff.
