We are seeking a skilled HR Supervisor to support our multi-site organization and ensure consistent, compliant, and employee-focused HR operations.
Position Summary
The HR Supervisor oversees day-to-day human resources activities, including employee relations, recruitment, training, performance management, compliance, provider schedules, provider PTO (Paid Time Off), accounts payable, and policy administration. This role partners closely with clinical and administrative leadership to maintain a positive workplace culture and support the unique staffing, compliance, and operational needs within a dermatology setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR inquiries from staff and supervisors across all clinic locations.
· Oversee full-cycle recruitment for clinical and non-clinical roles, including job postings, interviews, onboarding, and new hire orientation.
· Maintain confidential personnel files, required documentation, and HRIS data accuracy.
· Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, PWFA, PUMP Act, OSHA, HIPAA, and state-specific leave requirements.
· Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
· Support employee relations by providing guidance on workplace concerns, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
· Partner with leadership to support training programs, performance evaluations, corrective action processes, and professional development initiatives.
· Review provider PTO requests and approve or deny based on policies and procedures.
· Make necessary changes to provider schedules at the direction of the Operations Manager or President.
· Assist with payroll changes, timekeeping accuracy, and attendance monitoring in collaboration with the payroll team.
· Support payroll and benefits processing by communicating employee changes, tracking attendance, and verifying documentation.
· Participate in safety, compliance, and risk mitigation initiatives specific to dermatology clinical environments.
· Coordinate employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs.
· Support staff engagement, retention efforts, and culture-building activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred but not required.
- 3 years of progressive HR experience; healthcare experience strongly preferred.
- Prior supervisory or lead experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced medical environment with multiple priorities.
- Experience with HRIS and timekeeping systems (e.g., UKG Ready) preferred.
- Experience in using EMR – Athena strongly preferred.
- High attention to detail, professionalism, and confidentiality.
