The Director of Clinical Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day clinical operations of a high-volume neurosurgery practice. This role ensures the delivery of efficient, high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and supporting the strategic goals of the practice. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, and evaluate clinical team members including MAs, patient care coordinators, surgical schedulers, and new patient coordinators.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
- Address patient concerns and coordinate resolution of clinical service issues.
- Support initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and engagement.
- Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and administrative leadership.
- Generate and analyze reports on clinical productivity, patient throughput, and operational KPIs.
- Optimize patient flow, surgical scheduling, and clinic efficiency.
- Implement and monitor clinical protocols, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and administrative staff to streamline care delivery.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
- Minimum 7-10 years in clinical operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of surgical scheduling and perioperative workflows, preferred
