The Full-Time Ministry Teacher is an on-site role based in Bowling Green, OH, responsible for providing Christ-centered care and maintaining a routine daily schedule to support early childhood development.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Leading and caring for a mixed age group of up to six children at a time.
- Intentionally pointing children to Jesus Christ in all things.
- Managing classroom setup, maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary environment, and performing end-of-shift cleanup.
- Integrating biblical principles into daily routines and supporting the social, emotional, spiritual, and cognitive growth of the children.
- Communicating effectively with parents or caregivers regarding their child's needs and progress.
- Collaborating with staff to align classroom practices with The Nest’s mission and vision while upholding all organizational and state regulatory standards.
- Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Coursework or a degree in Early Childhood Education, Christian Education, or a related field is a plus.
- Background Check: Must successfully pass both an FBI and BCI background check.
- Training & Certifications: Must complete 6 hours of Ohio Approved training, in addition to Child Abuse and Neglect Recognition and Prevention training. Completion of on-site training days at The Nest is also required.
- Faith Alignment: A strong understanding of and alignment with Christian values, with the passion to integrate faith-based principles into daily interactions.
- Skills: Strong communication skills for working closely with young families, excellent time-management to maintain routine schedules, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.
