Entertainment Dome Attendant (Barista/Bartender/Server-Cook)
Location: The Nest at Black Hawk – Entertainment Dome
Reports To: Hospitality Manager
Overview
The Entertainment Dome Attendant is a dynamic hybrid role that combines barista, bartender, server, and light cook responsibilities. This individual is the heartbeat of the Entertainment Dome, managing all aspects of guest service and food & beverage operations. Typically working solo, the attendant creates a welcoming, efficient, and professional environment while ensuring guests have a seamless dining and entertainment experience.
Key Responsibilities
Beverage Service
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and specialty beverages.
- Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with state liquor laws and resort policies.
- Maintain knowledge of drink recipes, menu offerings, and pairing recommendations.
Food Preparation & Service
- Prepare and cook simple menu items such as appetizers, sandwiches, flatbreads, or small plates.
- Ensure food is presented attractively, safely, and consistently.
- Take guest orders, serve meals and drinks, and maintain attentive, friendly service throughout.
Operations & Guest Experience
- Open and close the Entertainment Dome, following standard operating procedures.
- Manage the POS system, process payments, and handle cash accurately.
- Monitor inventory, restock supplies, and communicate needs to management.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar, kitchen area, tables, and overall dome environment.
- Uphold all health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
- Provide personalized hospitality, anticipating guest needs and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Solo Shift Management
- Work independently with confidence and efficiency during shifts.
- Balance responsibilities between beverage service, food prep, guest service, and operational upkeep.
- Resolve guest concerns in a professional, timely manner.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista, bartender, server, or cook (multi-role experience preferred).
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a solo-work environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service.
- POS/cash handling experience required.
- Must be 21 and able to obtain/maintain required food handler and liquor service certifications.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and handle equipment or kegs safely.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic indoor/outdoor environment.
