Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm.
• Accurately take food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards for fine dining or casual settings.
• Upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
• Manage table cleanliness by bussing and resetting tables efficiently to keep the dining area inviting.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, using POS systems such as OpenTable.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations.
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns swiftly, and creating a welcoming environment for all guests.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments is highly preferred, especially with fine dining or nightclub settings.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and cashiering.
• Demonstrated skills in upselling, sales techniques, and guest services to enhance the dining experience.
• Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, food handling, and basic math for accurate cash handling.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
• Experience in serving or host/hostess roles with a focus on guest relations is advantageous.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $16.90 - $18.00 per hour
