*This is a fully onsite position requiring daily, in-person attendance (Monday–Friday) in Cleveland, Ohio. Candidates must be located within the Greater Cleveland area at the time of application. Applicants residing outside this region will not be considered.


Position Overview

The Negev Foundation is seeking a highly organized, adaptable, and proactive Executive Assistant to the President & Development Support to provide comprehensive administrative and programmatic support in a mission-driven nonprofit environment. This role blends high-level executive assistance with meaningful involvement in resource development, communications, and program coordination. The position works closely with the Foundation President and collaborates with affiliated initiatives, including the Ohio-Israel Ag & Cleantech Initiative, to advance the Foundation’s mission and strategic priorities. The Executive Assistant plays an integral role in supporting the Foundation’s day-to-day operations and impact. Responsibilities include managing executive schedules, travel, and correspondence; supporting donor engagement and development activities; coordinating communications with partner organizations and granting foundations; and assisting with cross-program coordination. The ideal candidate is a trusted team member who values nonprofit work, exercises sound judgment, maintains confidentiality, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where priorities may evolve.


This role is well-suited for a candidate interested in building toward expanded leadership or executive-level responsibilities within the Negev Foundation as the organization grows.

Key Responsibilities

Executive & Administrative Support

  • Provide direct executive support to the Foundation President, including calendar management, scheduling, travel arrangements, and email correspondence.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and briefing materials, track follow-ups, and ensure deadlines and commitments are met.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal staff, board members, donors, and external partners on behalf of executive leadership.
  • Maintain organized records, files, and administrative systems to support efficient operations.


Development & Resource Support

  • Assist with resource development activities, including donor communications, foundation outreach, and resource development initiatives.
  • Support communications with granting foundations, including correspondence, scheduling, tracking submissions, and maintaining records.
  • Help prepare resource development materials, donor updates, reports, and acknowledgments in coordination with leadership.
  • Assist with special programming and events related to fundraising, donor engagement, and organizational visibility.


Communications & Marketing Coordinator Support

  • Assist the Communications and Marketing Coordinator with the development of written content, including executive correspondence, donor communications, program updates, and marketing materials. Coordinate with Negev communities, partners, and staff to gather impact stories and ensure consistent voice and messaging.


General Support

  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Support the continuous improvement of administrative and communication processes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, International Relations, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience), with 3–5 years of experience providing executive, administrative, or development support to senior leadership in a nonprofit, foundation, or mission-driven organization, including exposure to fund or resource development efforts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to draft and edit executive correspondence, donor communications, articles, and organizational materials, as well as strong interpersonal skills when working with donors, board members, partners, and staff.
  • Exceptional organizational, time-management, and technical skills, including the ability to manage complex schedules, travel, and competing priorities; work independently with sound judgment; handle confidential information with discretion; and use Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and related tools (CRM or donor database experience preferred).

Salary & Benefits

$60,000 - $70,000 starting salary and benefits:

Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
