What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Day Camp Climbing and Ropes Lead Instructor position at The Nature Place Day Camp?
The Nature Place Day Camp is located in Chestnut Ridge, NY. We’re looking for a lead high ropes and climbing instructor this summer!
Do you have experience teaching? Do you have a passion for rock climbing and high ropes? Do you know how to belay?
About the Role:
- Run a safe and encouraging experiential education program
- Provide supervision of other climbing staff
- Be or become proficient (through training) in the high ropes equipment
- Responsible for organizing and tracking climbing gear and safety harnesses
- Lead daily set up of the elements
Who you are:
- Someone that has a substantial amount of experience (5 years) instructing children, Ideally a Teacher
- Have a bachelor's degree
- Have experience instructing climbing and high ropes activities

Camp Dates:
June 28 - August 14, 2026 (No camp July 3, enjoy your day off)
