The National WWII Museum is currently seeking a Custodial and Event Setup Supervisor. Reporting to the Facilities & Event Set-up Manager, the Custodial and Event Setup Supervisor performs daily and/or nightly duties as communicated by the Facilities Manager.
Requirements
- Follow Standard Operating Procedure as outlined by Facilities Management.
- Conduct a daily Campus walk through, identifying conditions needing attention.
- Supervise, and train staff in all areas of custodial responsibilities, to include but not limited to floor cleaning equipment, restrooms, exhibit cleaning, special cleaning projects, and event set-up.
- Check the work of staff custodians for quality and accuracy.
- Supervise all Custodial activities assuring that effective and efficient work is being performed.
- Cover work during staff lunch breaks, cover call offs, and assist custodians when guest attendance is high.
- Provide input to managers on general maintenance that may need to be performed, such as light bulb replacement or exhibits repairs.
- Maintain security of the Museum during cleaning while the Museum is closed.
- Check out employees at shifts end assuring all assigned tasks have been performed.
- Graduation from High School, or GED or equivalent required.
- Ability to communicate written and verbal instructions, light computer skills including use of e –mail.
- Minimum of four years' experience in custodial, housekeeping, or related work. Minimum 2 years supervisor/management experience.
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures and products.
- Familiarity with the care and maintenance of custodial equipment.
- Basic knowledge of audio/visual equipment is helpful.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Willingness to work overtime during special events or heavy visitation periods.
