Duties
- Travel to various patient locations to perform blood sampling and specimen collection with professionalism and compassion
- Obtain accurate patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate
- Apply aseptic techniques during venipuncture and blood sampling to ensure safety and specimen integrity
- Properly label, process, and transport specimens according to laboratory protocols
- Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, patient information, and sample tracking
- Educate patients about the blood collection process, addressing questions and alleviating concerns
- Adhere strictly to laboratory procedures, safety standards, and infection control protocols at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in phlebotomy, including venipuncture and blood sampling techniques
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and clinical laboratory practices
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology fundamentals
- Previous hospital or healthcare facility experience is highly desirable
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to work independently in various environments while maintaining attention to detail
- Valid certification in phlebotomy or related laboratory techniques preferred but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided for qualified candidates
