Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement integrated PR and communication strategies aligned with organizational goals and initiatives.
- Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers. Draft press releases, media kits, and pitch stories to secure coverage.
- Content Development: Create engaging content for newsletters, blogs, social media, and other platforms that reflect NCUS’s mission and impact.
- Brand Management: Ensure consistent messaging and visual identity across all communication channels.
- Digital Strategy: Oversee social media presence, monitor analytics, and optimize campaigns for engagement and reach.
- Event Support: Coordinate communication efforts for events, including press coverage, promotional materials, and post-event reporting.
- Crisis Communication: Develop and execute plans to manage sensitive issues and protect organizational reputation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in PR, communications, or marketing strategy.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Proven ability to manage media relations and secure press coverage.
- Experience with social media management and digital marketing tools.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Passion for community development and social impact.
- Graphic design and multimedia content creation.
- Familiarity with CRM and email marketing platforms.
- Knowledge of urban community issues and workforce development.
