What are the responsibilities and job description for the ZoomCrew Show Car Driver Event Staff position at The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR)?
Home to NASCAR's Championship Weekend, Phoenix Raceway has been the premier motorsports venue in the Southwest since 1964 and hosts two NASCAR race weekends each year. In March, the Shriners Children's 500 NASCAR Weekend kicks off the race season at Phoenix Raceway, featuring the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and ARCA Menards Series. In November, champions will be crowned in the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and ARCA Menards Series West.
Position Purpose
This position supports the Phoenix Raceway branded Show Car and/or Pace Car at Phoenix Raceway public appearances as a member of the ZoomCrew Event Team. Representatives credibly and responsibly represent themselves as the face of Phoenix Raceway to current and prospective customers. This is a temporary seasonal position, and hours are dependent on the appearance schedule.
Responsibilities
- Transport the Show Car Hauler to and from events
- Assist in setting up and tearing down the display, including loading and unloading the Show Car in and out of the hauler
- E nsure the car is clean and properly displayed at events
- Collect prospects for future email campaigns
- Be an expert on the products and services offered by Phoenix Raceway
- Assist with various Event Experience activations on March and/or November race weekends
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
- Currently living in Arizona
- Post high school education required or equivalent experience
- Exceptional work ethic, eagerness to learn, and a passion for the sports/motorsports industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
Special Position Requirements
- May require some out-of-town travel
- CDL Licensed
The ShowCar is a fully-functional NASCAR Stock Car that appears throughout the state sixty to one-hundred times annually. The program includes the ShowCar, promotional giveaways, interactive games, and prospecting. ZoomCrew members are expected to arrive early to help with setup and stay after events for tear down. The position requires a means of transportation to events; they are primarily throughout the Valley but sometimes statewide. The ideal applicant will be sales-driven, a people-person, on-time, hardworking, and eager to learn the sport of NASCAR.
