Administrative Support Specialist; SEE EPA: OASES/ CSSD / LSS

Job Description: The National Asian Pacific Center on Aging (NAPCA) is seeking candidates 55 years of age and older for the position of Administration Support Specialist with the U.S. EPA Senior Environmental Employment Program (SEE) OASES/ CSSD/ LSS Division.

General Summary: Provide secretarial and administrative support for the Branch Chief and Lab Science Support Supervisor for the US Environmental Protection Agency Pacific Coastal Sciences Branch.

MUST BE (must meet all 3 minimum requirements):

• 55 years of age and older (in accordance with Public Law 98-313 and the Older American Workers Act)
• a US citizen
• be eligible to work in the US.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain files, calendar, and databases for Branch activities.
• Answer phone calls and take messages for the Branch Chief.
• Prepare administrative documents for Branch (i.e. personnel, travel, training, and etc)
• Perform security personnel processing of employee, contractors, students, and volunteers.
• Assist the Branch with the development of programs, handbooks, and standard operating procedures.
• Develop and maintain internal processes and procedures for in-boarding and out-boarding employees.
• Assist in organizing and setting up annual branch events and leadership site visits.
