What are the responsibilities and job description for the Handyman/Hotel Maintenance position at The Natchez?
The Natchez Vacation Rentals features 12 luxurious and modern condominium style units, centrally located in the heart of downtown New Orleans. This property was built circa 1830 and has been beautifully renovated into hotel-style accommodations.
As a member of our Maintenance Team, your job duties will include:
- Respond to routine maintenance calls for the hotel including plumbing, electrical, and other normal hotel room issues
- Perform basic repairsand preventative maintenance work, including painting/drywall, minor roof repairs, and HVAC maintenance
- Provide daily outdoor grounds maintenance including pressure washing, sweeping, leaf blowing, and basic pool maintenance
- Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment on the premises, including ordering replacement stock using company accounts
- Access and utilize the company’s maintenance software using a phone application (personal cell phone use is required)
To be successful in this role, you need basic English communication skills. This job requires continuous movement, regularly bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and moving up to 50 pounds. You must also be able to stand and walk for an entire shift and perform repetitive motions. Applicants should have general knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electric and cosmetic renovations including but not limited to sheetrock, painting, flooring, fixture replacement, etc.
