Duties
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to load, unload, move, and organize inventory efficiently.
- Assist with order picking and packing using order pickers and other warehouse equipment to fulfill customer orders accurately and promptly.
- Manage stock levels by stocking shelves, replenishing inventory, and conducting cycle counts to ensure accurate stock records.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms to track inventory movements, update records, and support order processing.
- Prepare shipments by packaging products securely, labeling packages correctly, and coordinating with shipping carriers for timely dispatch.
- Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying inbound/outbound shipments against purchase orders or delivery documents.
- Contribute to warehouse distribution operations by organizing storage areas, optimizing space utilization, and maintaining a clean workspace.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred; familiarity with warehouse distribution processes is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and MRPs (Material Requirements Planning systems) safely and efficiently.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 or similar platforms is advantageous.
- Strong basic math skills for counting inventory, measuring packages, and verifying quantities.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with order fulfillment techniques such as picking & packing.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy items, load & unload shipments, and standing or walking for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive attitude toward safety protocols and quality standards.
