THE OVERVIEW | A warm, busy family in Hancock Park is seeking a full-time, long-term Housekeeper to maintain their beautifully kept 5,000 sq ft home, including 5 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, and additional property features such as a guest house, basement, and outdoor communal areas. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented team player who takes initiative, communicates clearly, and ensures the home is fully reset before leaving each day.
They’ve had their current housekeeper for seven years. She is relocating to another state in March 2026. The family is open to finding someone anytime, starting mid-January through to mid-February.
THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Home Cleaning & Maintenance
- Daily cleaning of all high-use areas, especially the kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms. Deep cleaning as needed.
- Full-home cleaning across a 5,000 sq ft property (5 beds, 7 baths)
- Cleaning and upkeep of guest house 2x a month, pool bathroom, basement, and exterior/communal spaces
- Identifying maintenance needs (e.g., light bulbs out, broken items) and promptly informing the family
- Ability to walk up and down stairs throughout the day
Family Support & Household Operations
- Preparing simple daily breakfasts for three children (e.g., yogurt and fruit, pancakes, avocado toast)
- Laundry for all five family members (parents children). Knows how to read clothing labels and understands that not all clothing goes into the washer or dryer.
- Coordinating and maintaining home inventory: restocking supplies, noting low items, and preventing shortages
- Assisting with home tasks such as placing rain covers on outdoor furniture
- Working collaboratively with the nanny and parents to ensure a smooth household flow
- Ensuring all tasks are fully completed before leaving each day to set the family and nanny up for success
Food & Pantry Management
- Cleaning out expired items from the fridge and pantry
- Properly labeling and organizing foods
- Keeping pantry and refrigerator tidy, stocked, and free of expired products
Pet Care & Comfort
- Comfortable around large dogs; especially important as the male German Shepherd requires a slow, calm introduction
- Occasional dog walking for the friendly female dog when the family travels
- Overnight pet-care responsibilities during family travel
Travel Coverage (Occasional)
- Occasional overnights are required when the family travels
- Full pet care during these periods

- Ability to help with seasonal tasks (holiday décor setup/breakdown, organizing supplies, etc.)
- Positive, upbeat attitude that contributes to a harmonious household team
- Ability to multitask and adapt when the family schedule shifts
- Knowledge and experience with different devices and vacuums.
THE REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional housekeeping experience in large, multi-level homes
- Comfortable maintaining a 5,000 sq ft property, including five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and additional structures (pool house, guest house, basement)
- Strong cleaning skills with attention to detail, efficiency, and consistency
- Ability to perform daily kitchen and bathroom cleaning to a high standard
- Experience preparing simple family-friendly breakfasts (pancakes, avocado toast, yogurt fruit, etc.)
- Laundry expertise, including washing, folding, and organizing clothing for all family members
- Read all clothing and laundry labels before washing (some items are dry cleaned)
- Comfortable and experienced around large dogs, including slow/controlled introductions (male German Shepherd)
- Willingness to assist with dog walking for the friendly female dog
- Ability to walk up and down stairs repeatedly throughout the day, carrying laundry loads
- Proactively help with deliveries, waste management, and occasional errands.
- Organizing projects (closets, drawers, storage areas)
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a household team, collaborating with the nanny and family
- Strong communication skills — informs family of maintenance issues or items that need attention
- Responsible and dependable with a strong follow-through mindset — ensures all daily tasks are completed before leaving.
- Flexible schedule to occasionally start early or stay late
- Availability for occasional overnight stays when the family travels, including complete pet care

- Authorized to work in the U.S. and willing to be paid on payroll
- Fluent in English, written and spoken. Second language is a plus.

WORK SCHEDULE | Monday through Friday — 6:15 AM to 2:15 PM; occasional weekends may be asked, and flexibility to start earlier is required.
