Seeking a Full-Time Nanny
Contract Type: Long-Term Employment Location: East Brunswick, NJ
Start Date: End of April Child: One-year-old infant
Schedule
This is a full-time position with 40 guaranteed hours per week.
The schedule varies based on the parents’ rotating healthcare schedules, so flexibility is very important.
1–2 days per week (Longer Days):
6:00 AM start required (punctual arrival is essential) Typical hours are approximately 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
End time may vary slightly depending on when a parent returns home
The nanny is welcome to stay in the guest bedroom the night before early shifts to ensure an easy and punctual arrival before 6:00am.
Remaining Weekdays (Shorter Days):
Typically around 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Some days may not require in-person help, but the nanny will still receive full guaranteed pay
Both parents work in healthcare and must leave home by 6:00 AM on early start days, including during inclement weather. Reliability and flexibility are essential. (Dad is an anesthesiologist and Mom is a nurse). Occasional weekend help may be appreciated but is not required. Overtime would be paid if applicable.
Compensation & Benefits
Starting at $35/hour, flexible depending on experience, 40 guaranteed hours per week, overtime paid at 1.5x for all hours worked over 40, paid sick leave, paid vacation, paid federal holidays, mileage reimbursement, health insurance stipend, paid via W-2 payroll.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide attentive, nurturing, developmentally appropriate care throughout the day, including: Preparing fresh baby meals (Montessori-style independence encouraged)
Feeding, diapering, bath time, lotion, brushing teeth, and maintaining routines Following sleep schedules and nap transitions carefully
Engaging in age-appropriate activities: reading, sensory play, music, floor play, and language development
Supporting independence and exploration in a calm, safe manner
Support child-related household tasks, including meal preparation and clean-up, baby laundry, and assisting with the dishwasher to help maintain an organized home environment
Maintaining the nursery and diapering areas
Assisting with preschool drop-off in the future (car required)
Assisting with the nighttime routine when parents are working late shifts
No screen time
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of paid infant experience
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
CPR & First Aid certified Non-smoker
Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating with parents Up to date on Tdap, COVID, and flu vaccines
Bilingual in Korean is a plus
Montessori background is a plus (not required) Comfortable going up and down stairs as needed
Flexible to stay later when schedules require
Extremely punctual and reliable, especially for early morning starts
Must be seeking a long-term position (approximately 10 years) and committed to building a lasting relationship with the family
