What are the responsibilities and job description for the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst position at The Mustard Seed Behavioral Health LLC?
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) – Clinical Lead
The Mustard Seed Behavioral Health LLC
Jacksonville, Florida
Part-Time | Flexible Schedule | Hybrid/Remote Work
The Mustard Seed Behavioral Health LLC is a developing ABA practice serving children and adolescents in home, school, and community settings throughout the Jacksonville area. We are building a small, collaborative clinical team centered on compassionate, ethical, assent-based, trauma-informed, and individualized care.
We are seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) interested in growing alongside our organization and serving in a clinical leadership capacity as we begin accepting clients.
About the Role
The BCBA Clinical Lead will provide clinical oversight for ABA services while collaborating closely with the company's owner/BCaBA and RBT team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a BCBA who enjoys clinical leadership but does not necessarily want the demands of a traditional high-volume BCBA caseload.
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing required supervision and clinical oversight to the BCaBA
- Supervising RBTs as appropriate
- Conducting and/or overseeing assessments and treatment planning
- Reviewing and approving clinical documentation within the BCBA's scope and responsibilities
- Providing caregiver training and clinical consultation when appropriate
- Monitoring client progress and assisting with treatment modifications
- Supporting clinical decision-making for complex cases
- Ensuring services remain consistent with BACB ethical and professional requirements
- Collaborating with caregivers, schools, and other members of clients' treatment teams
- Assisting with development of clinical policies and quality-assurance procedures
- Helping establish a strong clinical culture as the organization grows
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Current BCBA certification in good standing
- Master's degree or higher
- Eligible to practice and provide ABA services in Florida
- Qualified to provide supervision consistent with current BACB requirements
- Strong understanding of ethical, evidence-based ABA practice
- Reliable communication and documentation
- Willingness to collaborate closely with a BCaBA and developing RBT team
- Reliable transportation
Preferred:
- Experience with pediatric and adolescent populations
- Experience providing services in home, school, and community settings
- Experience supervising BCaBAs and RBTs
- Experience with assessments and treatment-plan development
- Experience with Florida Medicaid and/or commercial insurance
- Familiarity with payer authorization and documentation requirements
- Interest in naturalistic, assent-based, trauma-informed ABA
- Leadership or start-up ABA experience
What Makes This Position Different
The Mustard Seed is being intentionally built as a smaller ABA practice where clinical quality, staff support, collaboration, and individualized treatment are prioritized over maximizing caseload size.
The BCBA joining our team will have the opportunity to help shape our clinical systems and culture from the beginning rather than stepping into a predetermined corporate structure.
We are especially interested in finding someone who values collaboration rather than hierarchy and is comfortable working alongside an experienced BCaBA who is actively completing requirements toward BCBA certification.
Schedule
This position will begin with a limited, flexible caseload and has the potential to grow as the company expands.
Some responsibilities may be completed remotely, while client observations, assessments, supervision, or other clinical responsibilities may require in-person availability in the Jacksonville area.
Compensation
Competitive compensation based on experience, responsibilities, and employment/contract arrangement.
Additional details regarding expected hours, caseload, compensation structure, and growth opportunities will be discussed during the interview process.
Our Philosophy
At The Mustard Seed Behavioral Health, we believe meaningful progress often begins with small changes that are nurtured consistently over time.
Our goal is to provide ethical, compassionate ABA services while creating an environment where clients, families, technicians, and clinicians feel respected and supported.
Interested candidates are encouraged to apply with a résumé/CV and a brief introduction describing their clinical experience and what they are looking for in their next BCBA role.
