What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Grooming Assistant position at The Muddy Pup?
We are looking for a part time or full time dog bather/grooming assistant for our busy grooming shop in Columbus, NJ. We would prefer someone with prior experience but are willing to train the right person. We are looking for a team-oriented individual who loves dogs and enjoys working within a fast-paced environment. You must be comfortable with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
Responsibilities include:
- Bathing and blow drying dogs.
- Checking dogs in and out and booking future grooming appointments.
- Answering the phone and responding to messages.
- Cleaning the grooming shop at the end of the day, mostly vacuuming dog hair, laundry and disinfecting kennels.
- Individual must be able to multi-task, floating between washing dogs and waiting on customers.
Hours are Tuesdays thru Saturdays from 8AM to 4PM. Saturdays are required. We are closed on Sundays and Mondays. Applicant must be able to lift large dogs (50 pounds) and be on their feet all day.
