Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Traveling MMA to join our Care Management team. This is a full-time, field-based position supporting clinical procedures across assigned nursing home facilities in Sebring, Okeechobee, and Wauchula, Florida.

The role is currently focused on clinical and diagnostic procedures rather than Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM). The Traveling MMA will travel between designated facilities based on the needs and schedule of the clinical team.

Candidates must have reliable transportation, flexibility to travel between assigned locations, and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Perform and provide clinical support for assigned diagnostic procedures, including POCUS, spirometry, and stress testing
• Prepare patients and necessary equipment for scheduled procedures
• Assist with patient positioning and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures
• Follow established clinical protocols to ensure procedures are performed accurately and consistently
• Set up, operate, clean, and properly maintain medical equipment used during procedures
• Accurately document procedure-related information in the appropriate electronic health record (EHR) system
• Promptly communicate abnormal vital signs, findings, or significant clinical changes to the appropriate healthcare provider
• Coordinate with healthcare providers, facility staff, and clinical teams to ensure scheduled procedures are completed efficiently
• Travel between assigned nursing home facilities according to the established schedule
• Maintain flexibility to work weekends based on operational and facility needs
• Adhere to all facility policies and procedures, including HIPAA and Joint Commission standards
• Do not engage in patient care or clinical decision-making outside the defined scope of the role
• Redirect patient care-related questions and clinical decisions to the responsible licensed provider

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program
• Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Previous experience working as a CMA or CNA in a clinical or healthcare setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and protocols
• Experience with or willingness to learn diagnostic procedures such as POCUS, spirometry, and stress testing
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Ability to work independently and efficiently across multiple facilities
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Ability to assist patients with positioning, mobility testing, and basic physical assessments when required
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between assigned facilities
• Weekend availability required
