Duties
- Safely load and unload furniture, boxes, and other items using proper lifting techniques and equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, or forklifts when necessary
- Drive box trucks or commercial vehicles with manual transmission to transport items between locations following designated routes
- Assist customers with moving their belongings, ensuring careful handling to prevent damage
- Organize and secure items in the truck to maximize space and prevent shifting during transit
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of moving equipment and vehicles at all times
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate pickups and deliveries efficiently
- Load & unload items at each destination, ensuring timely completion of each move while adhering to safety protocols
Experience
- Previous experience in moving or warehouse operations preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided
- Valid driving license with experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles
- Experience with delivery driving or courier services is a plus
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and safety procedures in physically demanding roles
- Knowledge of route driving, load securing, and basic vehicle maintenance is advantageous
- Customer service skills to assist clients professionally and courteously
- Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is desirable but not mandatory
