Director of Admissions, Enrollment & Financial Aid
The Mountain School of Milton Academy seeks a Director of Admissions, Enrollment & Financial Aid starting July 1, 2026.
The Mountain School is a semester-long, residential academic program for high school juniors set on four hundred acres in central Vermont. Each fall and spring semester, 45 students from across the country join our campus where they take academic classes, participate in our farm and outdoor programs, and build a diverse and interdependent community of scholars.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Develop and execute comprehensive admissions strategies
•Maintain and develop relationships with schools, camps, and educational non-profits
•Collaborate with other administrators to coordinate marketing and outreach efforts
•Cultivate relationships with parents and students that lead to applications and enrollment
•Work with program manager to coordinate recruitment events at schools and other venues
•Create and advance initiatives to increase diversity in the student body
•Collaborate with alumni and parents to engage prospective students and families
•Travel to schools, camps, and events to recruit students and develop relationships
•Manage and improve online portal for admissions and enrollment
•Make and communicate admissions decisions, partnering with faculty admissions committee
•Oversee & manage financial aid awards
•Collaborate with the Semester Schools Network on shared initiatives and events
Additional Roles:
•Participate in administrative leadership meetings
•Work with the director on strategic planning for the program
•Take part in the residential life, shared work, and activities of the school, including weekends and evenings
Salary and Benefits: The salary range for a full-time position is $90,000 to $120,000 depending on experience. This position comes with benefits that include health, dental, and either on-campus housing or a housing stipend.
