Responsibilities
- Develop engaging curriculum and lesson plans tailored to various age groups and skill levels across multiple art forms such as music, dance, and/or visual arts.
- Deliver interactive workshops and classes that foster creativity, technical skills, and self-expression in participants of all backgrounds.
- Manage classroom environments effectively by implementing positive behavior management strategies and ensuring a safe space for exploration and experimentation.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles, including special education needs or early childhood development considerations.
- Collaborate with community partners and organizations to expand program reach and ensure cultural relevance.
- Document program activities through reports, photographs, or videos to showcase participant progress and program successes.
- Provide mentorship and support to students working on individual or group projects while encouraging confidence and independence.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching or facilitating arts education programs across different age groups.
- Classroom management skills that promote respectful behavior and active participation.
- Experience working with children or teens in educational or community settings.
